Operations is a critical part of a successful IT strategy. It can also be complicated and challenging to ensure a stable operation in a world where business demands greater value and flexibility while increasing the number of applications and security threats.

A major step towards more flexible operations is a transformation to cloud operations, but cloud does not in itself mean that there is no longer an operational task. There is just one other operational task that is more about exploiting the opportunities in terms of flexible capacity management and continuous change than the previous focus on fixed capacity and stability. Other areas such as monitoring, backup and protection are the same.

ProActive has a professional operating organization that specializes in cloud-based operations, but we know that the world is complex, so we also like to operate on-premise, private cloud and hybrid.

We typically provide operations to our customers where they request one or more of the following scenarios:

  • The overall responsibility for the entire IT operation of the company, including all servers and services, clients and the related support
  • Operations of a specific platform or application
  • Operational assistance to the customer's own organization or a third party

ProActive has both medium-sized customers across many industries and large customers within eg. the financial and public sector, where there is a strong focus on security. ProActive has implemented ISO27001 and is audited annually according to ISAE 3402.

Our operating processes are based on ITIL, and we have implemented JIRA as ITSM, but are happy to integrate with our customers' existing ITSM.

Operating Assistance

With our Continued Maintenance we offer expert assistance for the operation of specific applications. It is e.g. relevant when the customer or a third party has primary responsibility for the operation of an application provided by ProActive. In that case, ProActive can stand to:

  • Validate updates, small service packs etc. before installation
  • Take responsibility installation of service packs
  • Assist third party vendor during upgrades
  • Take immediate action if critical issues arise


It is never easy to change an operational supplier, but we have a firmly efficient process we follow. Initially, we always clarify with the customer what the right approach is:

  • Transformation - We are modernizing the platform and applications in the process of taking responsibility. Eg. by converting older applications to software-as-a-service.
  • Lift and shift - we move things 1: 1 as quickly as possible. Then we address any modernization.
